I am getting an error with 8.01 using mySQL. It seems to be saying that my host is not using v4.1 yet my hosting company advised late last year that they upgraded to mySQL v4.1.

The err msg is:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while executing SQL query on database.
Please check that the MySQL Server version is 4.1 or above.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-4.0.26-log]You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '(tblAuthor.DOB) = 5 (

If they have updated mySQL to 4.1 they haven't updated the version of mySQL on the server you are using.

The mySQL version number listed in the error is mysqld-4.0.26

Contact your hosting company about this.
