Due to a rather overzealous webhost and to keep my forums tidy, I quite often download my (Access) Database, clean it up and then Upload it.

When I Upload the DB, anyone trying to log on to my Forum gets an error message which tells them exactly where my DB is and what it is called.

Despite it being in a Private folder on my Webhost, am I at risk because of this and is there any way I can get some kind of Default page to come up at this time, rather than the details of my Database ?

Many thanks.

As long as your database is in a private folder then you will be safe from hackers.

If you want extra security you can disabled the detailed message in the error message by editing the file includes/setup_options.asp and set the following variable to false as shown below:-

Const blnDetailedErrorReporting = False
