Hi All

In Microsoft word you have an option to clear formatting before pasting the content to Rich Text Editor.

Can we have this option for Rich Text Editor or if there is any other way, so that I don’t have to go to word or notepad to clear the format before I past it to Rich Text Editor.

Because if I am using a complicated website design build on xhtml accessibility therefore you don’t want to copy the content that contain other type of font or html code i.e table, spam tag and so on. which will effect the structure of the design template.

Hope this clear,

Thanks

A

There is a Past From Word tool which removes some of the unwanted code that Word places in but nothing to remove the formatting altogether.

The browsers own RTE API is used, which tends to re-write the code anyway, especially IE which creates shocking HTML code, so building such a tool would be very difficult, if not impossible with IE.
