This permissions will mean all posts will need to be approved for those selected members, you can not select to have topics only approved in the present version.

Hi boRg,

Do you mean this version  WWF 8.01? Do you have any suggestions on how to view all topics first? Maybe before they are on the forum?

Can you please add this feature to new version?

Thanx a lot,
GR

I'm not sure if I now understand what you are asking.

If you select member approval then new topics will need to be approved by the forum admin or moderator before they are displayed to forum members.

This sounds like what I want to do. I want to approve all new topics, not new post. Where do I do this/How do I do this?

If you select a group to have approval of their posts in a forum any posts they make whether it be a new topic, poll, or reply, they will need to have the topic and/or post approved before it is displayed in the forum.

So that feature is not what I want. I just want to approve new topics, not replies, posts, or anything..

I hope you got what I mean now Borg. I am really tired of explaining to you.

Thanx for helping me,
Gando Raundalf

Hi All;

I discussion with Gando in MSN, Borg Gando wanna only approve topics, if topic is possible no problem. He doesnt want to strive POST APPROVE, may be modify some codes and works who want this. My prefer i approve topics and posts, our people sometimes inappropriate posts and topics. If topic is new, wait approve. If post is new do not wait approve.

Okey, this is briefly what he's asking for:

He is wondering if it's possible through WWF 8.01 to only choose to approve topics, and not posts, polls etc.

If not he's wondering if you will consider this for future versions.

Cheers!
Kristoffer

There are no plans on changing the system at the present time.

Most people are happy with the present system of post approval, and changing it would just make the permissions system more difficult to understand.

As well as this, such features would require changes to the database schema which do not happen on minor updates. If such changes were to be considered then more users would need to request it and it would be considered for the next major upgrade to version 9 as database schemas are not changed between minor versions to keep upgrades as simple as possible.
