I am testing this exact MOD on my forums right now.

Here is a link to the description of the mod on my site, http://www.darofamily.com/jeff/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=123&PN=1 - http://www.darofamily.com/jeff/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=123&PN=1 . We just rolled this out today, so we're still testing to make sure it does not have any sort of nasty impact on the site, but if anyone wants to give it a try, please do.

Microsoft VBScript compilation (0x800A0400)
Expected statement
functions/functions_common.asp, line 1594
End Sub

Did you edit your functions_common.asp to make the changes to the two functions, or did you just copy the two functions?

i just copyed it like it was on the site

Then it appears, you missed the End Sub at the bottom of the sub. And please realize, these are simply the two functions affected by the mod, this is NOT the entire functions_common.asp.

My files are heavily modded, posting them for you will just confuse you more. The above error is caused by the old array having only 9 places in it. You need to clear that out, and then you should be good to go. I forgot to mention this on instructions page.

A quick and dirty method is to add a line to the beginning of your activeUsers function that looks like this:

Application(strAppPrefix & "saryAppActiveUsersTable") = ""

Then save it, and open the active users page. You should see nothing. Then go back in, and delete this line. This should reset your application object with the proper sized array, and assuming you got the other changes in correctly, you'll be good to go.

Scotty_32 was does it concern you? I thought it may be an issue at first, but then I considered, all of the posts show the logged IP, so what is the problem with posting the IP's here to? We've had a few trouble makers in our past, so we kind of see the IP's exposed as a deterrent, but if you know of a good reason why this is bad, I will listen intently.

Please share.

I just figured that out. LOL. I went looking after I read Scotty_32's post, and I realized that. I took them off of my active users page now as well.

Thanks for the compliments on the mods.

When I try and do a search I get this.

Error Type:
ADODB.Recordset (0x800A0E7D)
The connection cannot be used to perform this operation. It is either closed or invalid in this context.
functions/functions_common.asp, line 1466

I cannot verify this issue right now, my ISP is having problems with their database server. Oy. As soon as I can get back into my system, I will verify and get back to you.

I do not see this error with this mod, please double check your installation, I am guessing you did something wrong.
