I receive the following error message when I try to post or reply to a post:

CDO.Message.1 (0x80040213)
The transport failed to connect to the server
/forum/send_mail_function.inc, line 123

Can someone please tell me what the problem is here although I did not modify this page and it just started happening over the weekend.

Lloks like its a server problem connecting to your mail server, turn the email functions off till the problems with the mail server are sorted out.

HI...

did you ever find a solution to this error?  I just received it...im wondering if a) the server sends the mail out in the order listed in the admin view, and b) if the error is generated because of a bad email address.

Our email server is top notch, and I seriously doubt it is causing the fault.

Thanks!
Eric

See if your firewall is blocking the email messages from being sent.

i sent a message out yesterday, it got to subscriber 37, then i got the error message.  today it was subscriber 22.  theres no consistency, and the firewall is not the issue, if it was i wouldnt have been able to send any of them.

Is it a CDO issue?  should I be using another method?  Does the JMail component work any more reliably?

thanks

Jmail is better and more reliable than CDO
