Is it possible to have an email sent when someone posts in a moderated forum instead of having to manually check each time? I sometimes forget to look there and posts go unnoticed. I looked for a setting to change but could not find it... is there such a feature?

If you mean, can the admin have email notifications of hidden posts, then at present there is not a system for this.
But it is a good idea and something worth looking into for future releases.

Yes, I like this idea myself. I subscribe to many forums on my site simply for the purpose of being notified of important posts (like in the suggestions forum which is low traffic but very important).
