Hello,
my system is Win2003 SP1, SQL2005 SP1 & WebWiz 8.02

When I installed 8.02 I experience random delays with pages loading. I restarted SQL & IIS, but delays still exists...In the same time server utilization is low.
Anyone faced with similar issue? I have ASP.NET installed, Simple/Autoshrink settings on DB

Could you please recommend - how I may trace problem? Some SQL tools or others may be useful?

Thanks!

This does sound like a server issue, but I'm afraid I don't know what tools you can use to track this down.

Have a look on Google for some server monitoring tools, it may help find the course of this problem.

How long are the delays - more than five seconds? Does the delay differ for different browsers?

What is it saying on the bottom where it says "This page was generated in ??? seconds"? What is it saying for the number of seconds it takes for the page to display?

That number represents the amount of time it takes for your server to send the code to your browser. If that number is greater than 1 or 2 seconds, then it's your server. If it's less than 1 or 2 seconds & your pages are loading slowly, then there are other issues we can discuss.

The page generated from 7 till 20 sec...
If it problems with server, could you please recommend me how we may troubleshoot it? CPU utilization is low, SQL 2005 restart doesn't help, but iisreset always help me

Thank you!

Make sure that your SQL server is not doing unnecessary logging and has adequate memory.

I find with Win2003 and SQL server the server needs at least 1 gig of memory.

Also, check that the recovery model for the SQL Server database is set to simple.

If it's taking up to 20 seconds for the server to send the page to the browser, then it sounds like the server. boRg knows more than I do what issues you need to deal with to fix this.
