I read in the v8.2 History file that a new setup option has been added to disallow mods from editing member profiles.

I can't find that option anywhere.  I have upgraded to v8.2

You can change this by editing the file 'include/setup_options.asp'

After I disabled this option all is working well. Now only Admins can edit other Profiles.

Any idea what could've caused this ?

Cheers

It sounds like an issue with the mod you are using, but as I don't know how the mod works I can't tell you why.

If a bug like that existed in web wiz forums itself, it would only be hours before people would be shouting about a security issue.

Well that's exactly what I thought ( I mean the speed of Replies you would've got )

Weired thing is even if I remove the Mod alltogether and copy the original Files over it happened. The DB Fields should not make any difference there at all.

Anyways I will try to source the Problem and let ya know in case someone else runs into the same stuff
