Does it give an error as to why you can not login?

It sounds like the web server is unable to store the session tracking data in it's memory.

This can happen if you use balanced web severs, server farms, web gardens, or there is a problem with the servers application pool.

To fix this you can use the database to store the forum session data instead of the web servers memory, by editing the file 'functions/functions_session_data.asp'

Near the top of this file you will find :-

Const blnDatabaseHeldSessions = False

Set this to true:-

Const blnDatabaseHeldSessions = True

The simplest way to have your forum in English and French is to install two copies in suppurate folders, one in English and one in French, but have the two forums point to the same database.
