Subject: Image Upload VBScript Error

I'm getting an error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01f4'
Variable is undefined: 'AspUpload'
functions_upload.asp, line 74

...whenever I try to upload an image into the editor. As far as I have been able to tell I needed to select which upload script is supported on the server (in this case AspUpload) in the file "functions_upload.asp on line 74" and in the file "RTE_setup.asp on line 135". can anyone tell me what part I missed? I 've never been good with ASP.

Thanks!
David

Make sure that you have quote marks around the name of your sellected upload component:-

Const strUploadComponent = "AspUpload"

That worked. Now I'm getting:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed
functions/functions_upload.asp, line 284
800401f3

Note: Line 284 with ASPSmartUpload or line 85 with AspUpload. Hosting company says both are supported.

Thanks for any help!
David

The error indicates the upload component selected is not installed on the web server.

ASPupload is the better component of the two you mention, if they have that installed use that. If you get this error when AspUpload is selected contact your hosting company as they either have not installed, or not correctly installed AspUpload on the server.

This forum is for the RTE which is done in a completely different way to web wiz forums.

Web Wiz Forums can have the upload component selected from the online admin area under the Upload Configuration page.
