Hi there, Your forums are JUST GREAT, I'm seriously thinking in buy the license!!!
I'd search through the forum, tried the various ways, but no success (mySQL Official Migration Tool and other softwares).
So, after this end-of-week I finally get a quick and secure way of get migration to work! But I'm unable to Search through the old topics and post's, only the new ones (since migration) are found, this happens with Active Topics too. The rest work just fine and very quickly!!! Can you help me with this please?
Anyway and in case that someone are interested, I give you the steps to get this thing to work.
Requirements:
(download avaiable from Web Wiz) 1 - 7.97 access forum files ; 2 - ms access version 7.x to 8.x database upgrade tool ; 3 - mysql 8.02 forum files ; (download outside from Web Wiz) 4 - BullZip MS Access to MySQL ;
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1 - Make a copy of your initial database (access - 7.97) for backup ; 2 - Download the http://www.webwiz.net/web_wiz_forums/forum_license.asp?ID=12&mode=forum - MS Access Version 7.x to 8.x Database Upgrade Tool v1 and follow the instructions ; 3 - After the upgrade is done, make a copy of the database (access - 8.02) for backup ; 4 - Download and install mySQL forum files and get sure that your forum it's running perfectly (mySQL - 8.02) ; * 5 - Now that you get a blank database and the forum is working, download and install the free http://www.bullzip.com/download.php - Bullzip Access to Mysql ; ** 6 - Full fill the fields with your server and database information, you don't need to change the default values, always click 'Next' and let the program do the migration process for you ; 7 - Run your forum and you are happy with the result's! ;
* - You don't need to configure and change anything, just get a blank database using mySQL_server_setup.asp.
** - If you get a mySQL ODBC Driver error, go to http://www.mysql.com - www.mysql.com and download from there the 3.51 ODBC Driver for your operating system.

Well, there's a way to get my problem solved? May I contact the Bullzip Access to Mysql Programmer to help and support me? Please, an advice would be very apreciable! Thanks!
