When I upload an image using the upload facility the image uploads ok and I can preview it ok but when I click finnnish to insert it into the post it just shows the image URL like uploads/weewewee.jpg then I click it and it opens in a new window. How do I get it to show the image in the post. It works if I put the URL myself.

Hope that makes sense.

Ian

You need to use the image tool, not the file upload tool.

Click the image button, and if image upload is enabled you will see an upload button at the bottom of the window.

I also notice an image upload "problem"
I'm using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2

clicking to upload an image i get the upload screen.
On the bottom of the screen i don't see the OK or CANCEL button
I have to drag the bottom part of the screen down to show it.
With Firefox i don't have this problem.

[edit]
i have noticed this problem with 8.02 and with 8.03

It sounds like you may have increased the default font size on your browser as this can course this issue.

Found where the problem lays
it's the language files.
Quote
Image Upload
Images must be of the type, jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, and have a maximum file size of 500KB
the tekst is distributed on two lines.
Translated it can take up more (or less).
the complete size of the "image properties" box is fixed within IE (looks like it)
Within Firefox there is enough room with both these 2 and/or the 3 dutch lines.
Within IE there is barely enough room for the 2 lines (UK), For 3 lines (dutch) there is simply no room so the OK and CANCEL buttons fall under the line of the box (out of sight).
perhaps an increase of the hight (of the pop-up box) could be enough.

I would like to do that, but then the page would look odd with a big space of a different colour at the bottom of the window.

I hope to find a solution that will dynamically produce the window size of the fly so not to course this type of issue, but it's something that will take time to develop, particularly as JavaScript doesn't ever seem to be teh same for different browsers.
