I have a forum in place and it works perfectly for several days, and then it doesn't allow any more sign ups!  It says that there is a session issue.  So, I delete my cookies hoping that would work, but no.

This is the third time I have scrapped the forum and started again.  My users and myself are getting a little frustrated.  Any ideas as to why this would happen?

It sounds like the server you are using has issues holding the ASP session, often due to problems with the servers application pool.

If you can't get the server issues fixed then you can alter Web Wiz Forums to use the database to store session data, although it will put more strain on the database, so you should use the mySQL or SQL Server versions for this.

To enable web wiz forums to use the database to store session data, open the file 'functions/functions_session_data.asp' in notepad then near the top of the file you will find the following variable that needs to be changed to True like below:-

Const blnDatabaseHeldSessions = True

There are notes in this file and is very simple to do.

Still no luck... in fact, I am not even able to register a new user?  I have scrapped the db and started fresh, but still no luck.

Any ideas?

This is very odd, and you must have setup something wrong somewhere as no-else has ever reported a problem like this.

Do you have a link top have a look?
