Hi,
I am going to have a new forum within a logged in only area of a site I'm building.

So, I will already have a session or cookie( dependant upon which the user chooses) to show they're already logged in.
I also have a full db of customer's who are registered for this section of the site.

I would like to integrate this into the forum so that:

a) - the forum just uses my existing customers table instead of seperate one.

b) - they will auto be logged in....

Can anyone point in the right direction to get me started?

By the way I'm using ASP and a MSSQL server

James

There is an Existing Member API built into web wiz forums.

Do a search for 'member API' in this forum.

ok - where is this script at? I've downloaded the SQL version of the forum and can't see anything in the documentation about doing this?

When I create the SQL db, if I want to use my existing "customers" tbl to do the logins, am I therefore better creating the tbls in this existing db rather than having the forum db running seperately?

I really feel like a parrot sometimes:-

Do a search for 'member API' in this forum.

I've done the search for you and the following post explains the lot:-
