Hi All -

My forum is going to sit in a folder/section on a site.

I want to use the Web Wiz registration/password protection to ask anyone who wants to enter the section to register  - this would keep all info in one place and not force me to buy/integrate a membership system.

Can this be done easily?

Thanks,

Dan B

It can be done, have a look at the login_user.asp page and the file functions/functions_login.asp as these files handle login and session tracking.

hi boRG -

Thanks for posting back.

I looked at both of those pages, but I didnt see anything specific I could grab onto and follow (I am new to all of this.)

Can you expand on your previous post as to how I can use these functions? Is it a matter of including both of these pages on every non-forum page in that section?

Just by means of explaination, I am planning on having 2 or 3 other pages in the same section as the forum. When someone comes into the section (regardless of what page they are trying to access), I want to:
1. Check and see if they are logged in/a member
2. If not, re-direct them to the login

Thanks,

Dan B

Sorry it's not as simple as that. What you are trying to do would be quite complex if you don't know ASP well.

Trying to explain how and what to do would be a 3 page essay that would probably just confuse you more.

You maybe better off looking for someone who knows ASP to help you with this.
