Hi I encounter some problem after I have upgraded the forum version from 7.09 to 8.03. Now the forum is 'dead-slow'. I dunno what is happening?

The database is not 'heavily-populated' - so what can be wrong?

Version 8.03 should not run slower than version 7.x

Version 8.x has had months spent on performance tuning the SQL database queries, cutting database hits, using the web servers memory to cache frequent queries, and arrays used instead of recordsets.

This has given over a 2000% increase in speed on many pages.

If your forum is running slower, you need to look at the web server or underlying database for issues that is coursing this.

If you can reboot the server, then give this ago to see if it clears up the problem.
