We recently installed v8.x to test it out over our heavily modded v7.x system. We love it so far, but noticed that once you make a person a moderator of a group, they ALSO get privs to edit user profiles including passwords, avatars, etc.

Has anyone deactivated this ability? I'd like to keep user changes as an admin function and let my moderators ONLY moderate posts.

i believe borg built it in that you can take away the ablibity for moderators to edit profiles.

have a look in the 'includes/setup_file.asp' file, i think the option to limit the moderator groups privilages.
