Hi, I'm using the Existing Member API to pass my logged in users userid and password across to the forum to log in.

What I would like, is when a new forum user enters, the script auto creates a new user account in the forum db.. but it only passes the username and password across.. is there any way to add the email address also.. (it's just so that they don't have to enter it again in their settings to subscribe to threads etc...

You could create a new session variable called Session("EMAIL") then in the file functions/functions_member_API.asp when a new users details is saved to the database also include the email address.

boRg,

I have the member API working but now want to add or update additional fields. I've attached the code below for the function_member_api.asp
I would like to add email address, name, and phone number from my database to this database when new users and changes are made to my database.

I think I'm missing something. I'm setting the email address to a session var in my login form but with the changes I made the email address is
not making it into the WWF forum database.

Can you help me out?
Thanks
Don
