I'm currently testing mySQL version of WWF 8.03. This was a clean install of the Forum files and I used mySQL_set_up.asp to create the tables in the DB which worked without any problems. I then imported data from my Access DB and now have all my Topics, Members, Posts etc.

All features are working fine apart from moving posts from one topic to another. When I try to move a single post (regardless of which post it is, 1st, 2nd, 3rd or last in thread) the WHOLE TOPIC (every post) is moved.

I've uploaded ALL forum files again so I'm fairly sure that none of the files are corrupt.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this problem?

This could be an issue with the data you have imported into your database.

Does this problem occur if you create a new topic and new posts and move them also to a new topic and new post (new meaning created since you did the import)?

Yes

I created a new topic and put 4 posts in it, then tried to move each post, and I get the same problem with every post.

It looks like you may have found an issue with the myODBC 3.51 driver.

Some times this driver doesn't handle ADO updates well and does funny things like this.

The page may need to be written for the next version in order to get this feature to run correctly in mySQL

Thanks for your reply -boRg-

I'm still using the Access version for now and when I finally move over to mySQL version I think I can live with this issue until there's a solution to it.
