Subject: Showing RTE Output to another page

Finally got this working at http://www.fightforce.co.uk/html/eventsrte.asp - http://www.fightforce.co.uk/html/eventsrte.asp

but I need to "post" the output to http://www.fightforce.co.uk/html/events.asp - http://www.fightforce.co.uk/html/events.asp

When I submit the RTE goes blank and the events page shows there are no messages to display. The events page does notload up automatically.

In the events page (the output I require) I have the command

<% Server.Execute"display_form_submission.asp" %>

to call up the outputted entry in my RTE page. Is this the correct method? or should I use an include statement?

Thanks,

The method you have will not work.

The RTE is designed so that you create your normal form and submission page, then apply the RTE to the form page only.

When the form is submitted it will be submitted using your own forms names etc. to the submission page you have already created yourself.

BoRg,

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying that the RTE cannot be used as a content management tool to update a sites page.

No, what I am saying is that you create your normal textarea form and your submission page to process the data.

You then follow the RTE install instructions to apply the RTE to your textarea to turn it into a Rich text Editing Area.

The file display_form_submission.asp is only an example file to give you an example of how the RTE works.

If you read the install instructions the install process is much clearer.
