Do any of the non-MS browsers (eg Opera, Firefox, etc) integrate seamlessly with Windows Authentication?

If I use Internet Explorer to access an intranet site that is running with Windows Authentication enabled is IIS, then I get straight to the content (as long as I am currently logged onto the company domain).

However, if I use Opera I am prompted to provide my user and password for the domain. Is there any way that this can be "avoided" and the fact that I am currently logged onto the domain is sufficient for me to access the site content?

Sure, I can provide my credentials and select the option to remember them, but I will then have to change them after my current password expires.

Many Thanks
Gary

i belive the logged in status is based on that session, ie you have to login though each browser .

but don't quote me on that...lol

That is how I believe it is for all browsers except Internet Explorer.
Using IE I dont have to provode any credentials as I have already been authenticated on the domain when I logged into Windows.

Why would it be that other browsers cannot do this?

I find the same thing.

I guess MS in integrating IE into the OS that they can do this, whereby with other browser you can not because they are not integrated into the OS.
