hi all,

i have tried installing as per install guide but keep getting this error

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '<% @ Language=VBScript %>
<% Option Explicit %>
<!--#include file="database/da' at line

now i know nothing bout SQL so pls advise

I'm not entirely sure what you are doing but it looks like you maybe trying to run the file against the mySQL as an SQL script which is wrong.

What you need to do is setup a blank mySQL database, then edit the file 'database/database_configuration.asp' entering your mySQL details.

Once you have done this you need to run in your web browser on an ASP enabled web server the file 'mySQL_server_setup.asp' this file is an ASP application which connects to you mySQL database and setsup the database for you, it's not run as an SQL script in mySQL.

If you follow the install instructions more closely it has all the details you8 should need.
