Hello!!

I would like to know what thing should i do to make the site secure....

let's see... i read about:

  • permission on directory
  • blnDetailedErrorReporting (mentioned by Borg somewhere)

    • what else should i watch out for??
      privileges on the DB....

what pages should i delete?? besides the DB generator

      Thanks!!

If you want maximum security you should use the mySQL or SQL Server version, as Access is a flat file and is be it's very nature an insecure way to store data.

You should also keep uploading disabled and make sure you have read only permissions for the IUSR account within your web site.

Deleting the file that generates the database (mySQL and SQL Server versions only) and turning off detailed error messages is also a very good idea.

As well as all this you should also make sure you are running the latest version.
