No upload icons showing when posting new threads

First off, thanks for all the hard work on WWF. I really love this product and have been using it for a few years now.

I've noticed, since I upgraded from 7.x to 8.x, my File and Image Upload buttons seem to have disappeared.

I am running aspSmartUpload, which I never had any problems with in the past. I even went out and redownloaded and installed aspSmartUpload to ensure I was running the latest version. I host my own webserver with SQL 2000 as the backend.

Did these Upload icons move or am I looking in the wrong place? I used to be able to click on File or Image Upload, then Browse to the file on my computer and upload it that way.

I see other icons, like "Insert Image", but when I click on it, just wants me to put in a pat to where I have an image already uploaded.

Thanks for any assistance.

You need to enable file and image upload from the permissions system in the admin area. When you upgraded from version 7 the permissions will have been reset to defaults and uploads are disabled by default.

Once this is done you will have a file upload button and the image upload will be found within the insert image window.

Thanks, boRg. That did it. I can now see the icons with appropriate options. I just had to check the box next to each forum area for Upload Images and Attach Files.

I did this from the Group Permissions area of the WWF Control Panel.
