The banners on this forum are what you have on your site if you are using the free 'adware' version. The ads in the free adware version are actualy feed from our own ad server which people pay to advertise on to over 15,000 sites running the adware version. More can be read at, http://www.webwiz.net/advertise/ - http://www.webwiz.net/advertise/

This is done to help cover the cost of developing and supporting a free version.

The ad server software to rotate the banners is a in house custom application built for the dedicated server to cope with over 10 hits per sound. So you would need to look for your own banner ad rotating software for your site.

As to your active users question, looking at the active users page on your site it looks like a number of your users choose to browse the board anonymously which means there usernames are not included in the active users list.

The site does have a valid license key according to the records so you are fine using the licensed version 8 on your site, but many thanks for the offer.

If you click on the link 'Active Users' you will get a full list of active users on your forum:-

http://www.pwcforums.co.uk/wiz/active_users.asp

I have just had a look and it seems your forum does have quite an unusually high number of anonymous users on the board. These users will not have their names displayed in the active users list because they have selected to browse the board anonymously.

This is why the numbers won't add up on your home page, you may have only 3 guests, and 5 members listed underneath, but the other active users are browsing the board anonymously so their names won't be listed.

There have been no other reports of problems with the active users list which has not changed in over 9 months, so if you still have issues then you may have a corrupted file and you should reinstall the files again.

You may also find that users need to relog in again on the new system to make sure any old data is cleared out of their system.

When you login you can select to not be included in the active users list, you could turn this field into a hidden filed so that your users don't have the option to opt out the active users list.
