How would i check for a value in the query string and if it doesn't exist proceed. I would like to have the program start by checking if I put anything in the query string and if not just go on to process the rest of the code. Is this possible?

I think this will work you may have to customize it a bit though:

If request.querystring = "" Then

'code here

Else

End if

Some or a combination of these should work:

NULL
LEN() < 1
IS NOTHING
""
