The popup window for uploading a image isn't high enough. The buttons fall outside.
I changed this myself in RTE_toolbar_inc.asp to a height of 430 instead..

And 2nd question..
I liked the image-upload in version 7.9x better then the new one in 8.04, and saw that I could change a boolean in RTE_setup.asp

Const blnAdvAddImage = true 'Advanced image control requires File System Object (FSO)

But when i change this to false it ends up with a '404 File not found' which is true since RTE_popup_image.asp is missing..
Where do I find a new one?

To change the RTE editor to new version, do I only need to D/l the stand-alone version and exchange all files starting with RTE_* ??

The feature you enabled is only available in the stanalone version.

The standalone version of the RTE is not compatible with Web Wiz Forums as it had to be heavily modified to work with the forums permission system.

Is there some (simple) way to have the imageupload act/look similar to the 7.9x.

I.e not having the list of files already on the server, and that every user has it's own folder under uploads?

That is if there's a simple way other than changing the code,

Sorry it's not possible as there is a complete new upload system in version 8, so that uploads are associated with posts so they can be deleted when the post is deleted.

Oh.. ok.. that's a bit smart so there's no orphan files lying around.

But, I find it a bit annoying and a little security breach that users that are locked out of a part of the forum still easily can see what other ppl have uploaded in that locked part..

I know that the files actually aren't that protected anyway..
but at least they previously didn't get a filelist to use to d/l the files.

Would be nice if there was a switch to turn off the filelist from admin pages or something, and perhaps be able to customize the layout of the upload form in some other ways too..

i.e "Stripped upload form" = only browse for a new file on harddrive is possible, no preview, filelist etc..

at least that my 2 cents..

How about it?
Something that will be considered in some new version?

It is something to consider, but many users like the new system, and you can always modify the files yourself
