I have also another problem... (senior) members that I want to be moderators (I change their profile to do that) after a while hours or days becomes again senior members (I don't know how but I suppose when they visit his profie... I haven't find the reason to do that).

Make sure that this senior members group is not part of the ladder system.

You do this in the Group Permission page in the admin area.

If a group is part of the ladder system the user will be moved to the ladder group with the number of posts permitted for that group when posting.
