I am using a dynamic DNS name for my address to my site along with a different port number (1230)

When I use the Dynamic DNS name everything works fine Except for the edit post area. I am not able to change the font settings for color/size, however if I use the IP address and port (IE http://255.255.255.0:1230) I can get this these options to work fine.

When I use the Dynamic DNS name I will get the error on page icon on the bottom left the message that I get is as follows

Line: 79

Char: 3

Error: Permission Denied

Code:0

url: http://255.255.255.0:1230/new_topic_form.asp?FID9

I can post the URL and IP address for further review if someone has an idea why this error is occurring.

I've seen this error before, it's coursed in later versions of IE due to a security exploit they patched.

I'm afraid there is little that can be done, because of the dynamic IP it's seeing the WYSIWYG Editor as a different site and won't let the javascript access the editor.

The only solution would be to disable the WYSIWYG Editor for all user from the admin area, or stop using the dynamic DSN

Also if you have a static IP why are you using Dynamic DNS?

My IP is Dynamic as well as the site uses my Cable Modem and runs on a server at my home. Even though the IP address has not changed for over a year there is always that chance it would happen

Maybe you could ask your ISP for s static IP address, many only charge a minimal amount for one, and once you have it you can do allot more.
