I've been experiencing the weirdest thing ever. When I first installed the forum, There was nothing but text on the screen. So I went to the admin section and clicked on "configure forum skin" and it appeared. So I was fine with that. Then the next day I log on to put in a different skin and it was back to straight text again. So I bring it up on another computer and sure enough its the same. So has any seen something like this before?

If you try running the forum before the database is created the application variables holding skin details etc. will be created with 'null' values, updating the skin page resets these variables.
However, it sounds like the issue is now that you have not applied the new skin correctly, if you have typed in the wrong location of the new skins images and CSS files they won't be able to be loaded so you will have no formatting to your forum.
