When doing admin, clicking on the user info yields a new window. This is a terrible implementation IMHO. I want to do everything in ONE window.

Could you be more precise, clicking on what user info and from where?

Yes you are correct and it is being looked into, but I would recommend going through the front end when doing this type of thing rather than the admin area.
