When using the WYSIWYG editor I want, if youīre pressing the enter key, to donīt jump down two steps, only one.

How?

Press SHIFT and Enter together.

Yes, I know that

I mean, how to change this in the code? If you press the ENTER key it jumps down one step. You donīt have to press SHIFT and ENTER together to jump down one step, only the ENTER key.

It's a standard thing in the WYSIWYG component. Use Shift it won't kill you, else turn WYSIWYG off.

Itīs not to for my own "good" but for the users. Some people asking me why it jumps two step with the ENTER key. It isnīt that way in ordinary text editors.

The users can write nice messages without WYSIWYG by using forum code. You wont have to deal with "Enter" writing the <p></p> tags (that's what makes the double space).

The jumping two lines is part of the IE active-x component that is used for the WYSIWYG editor, Microsoft have made it work in the same way as an HTML editor works, like Frontpage, or Dreamweaver.

The only way to change this is to contact Microsoft and ask them to change it in the next version of IE, but I don't think the changes of that will be very good.

Just a little thought...

Could you write/do tables when youīre posting a topic or PM?

Some HTML such as simple tables can be copied and pasted into the WYSIWYG Editor, if you want to disable this uncomment lines 180 to 182 of the file functions_filetrs.asp
