Hi, i have a problem with special characters and overwriting existing files.

I use RTE to update text in a site.

Italian text use àèéìòù characters, but when i save a new file as html their compare as à or other characters.
I download file which was created and it present à in html code.

Why do it?

Another problem is change text and save it in an existing file.
Infact I created a file .asp which has this code:
<!-- #include file='../my_path/my_documents/my_files/content.htm' -->

So if I decide to update content.htm, I open content.htm in your RTE program, modify it, and save it as content.htm, but a message tell me which is impossible to overwrite an existing file.

How can I solve?

Many thanks

1. You need to change the page encoding for your pages to one that supports your language.

2. You need to edit the RTE_configuration/RTE_setup.asp file and change the settings to allow the RTE to overwrite existing files.
