Hi, just a quick question really, how do you moderate posts in the latest release, also was it available in version 7.9?

Thanks

Admin section... Forum Admin Menu... Pick a Forum
Check "Post Approval" for any groups that must have their posts approved befor display in that forum.

Not in 7.9

Thanks, thats great, but how do you actually approve the messages, I created a new account, posted a message, logged out and then logged in as admin, but couldn't see the post i did under the account, sorry if I'm being dense, should it email the admin saying there is a new post or is it in the control panel?

Thanks

If you are posting under the admin account then your posts will not need to be approved. You would need to create a post under a normal account that has post approval enabled for that group.

When you post under a group that has post approval enabled the post is shown to that user with a greyed out background so they can edit their own post before it goes live.

Admins and moderators can check for posts that need approving by clicking on the 'Hidden topics' icon at the top of the forum when logged in as the admin or moderator. They can also view pre-approved hidden posts and topics in forums which are shown with a greyed out background.

For moderate the posts, I have a question:

If I don't want to allow the mod to delete the post, I can do it in the Forum Permissions.

But for the Topic, while allowed to be mod of a forum, he can always moderate the Topic, so Delete Topic right included. That's thing I don't want!

Could I have a choice to allow or none the Delete Topic right (hide or Unhide the Delete Topic button) to the mods?
