Hello

Very fine product.  One concern: everything works well except user registration- when I go through the registration process as a new user would, all is ok until I press the confirm key - then I get this message:

 Srver object error 'ASP 0178 : 80070005'
Server.CreateObject Access Error
/talkbus/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 244
The call to Server.CreateObject failed while checking permissions. Access is denied to this object

I do have rights both read and write to the folder and the database is within the folder as well - Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks.

Will

This is a problem with sending your user the verification e-mail. You need to run an e-mail server that is supported by the forum.

Disable the e-mail requirement at registration and that will solve your problem.

you can install a mail component to suport this function on your forum... i sugest aspemail or jmail.

http://www.dimac.net/ - http://www.dimac.net/
http://www.aspemail.com/ - http://www.aspemail.com/

its simple and free :)

Thanks for that bborg - I will try that - my isp claims they have that on their server.

How do I go about installing on my forum if they already have it?

Thanks

You don't need to install a mail component on the web server if your host already has some installed (you have to be a server admin to install components anyway, as it con not be done remotly).

Find what mail component your web host supports, then go into the admin area of the forum and on the email setup page choose the component that your host supports from the drop down list.

Thank you

You are correct - I found it to be JMAIL and the system works perfectly.  Thanks again.
