getting pretty sick of location based redirects on website as the stupid dev thinks everyone from a given regional zone likes to view contents in the language of that zone only. Is there a way to disable script based webpage redirection in IE and FF... i remeber such an option in IE but cant seem to recall!!

Boss,

Hello there.  To disable javascript in IE you go to Tools - Internet Options - Security Tab - click Custom Level... and almost at the bottom under Scripting/Active Scripting you can choose disable.

Hope this is what you wanted.

The redirection may be made by ASP, PHP, ...etc and not JS.
I think it is a dev's issue of the website you are visting, and you can't do anything regarding this.

If the redirection is ip based, try using one of the firewall or browser methods of masking the ip. If the redirection is based upon the HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE request variable I don't know of a way around it, but it should work the same way as the FF extension that masks/changes the ip.

True, but there'll always be web masters who figure they know better than you how you should browse.
