I recently used the BullZip Migration tool to import my 8.4 Access database into a MySQL 4.1 database, my forum has nearly 10,000 members and thousands of posts and I thought the migration had been successful.

 

Unfortunetly over the last couple of weeks since the migration it has become apparent that a few members (with plenty of posts) and also some posts have randomly gone missing and stragely, its not just the newest posts/members, plenty of posts posting just before the migration are present, as are older posts. One particular member that I have has been on the board over a year and has made several hundred posts randomly had their account deleted.

 

Firstly, is this a known problem? And if so, is there a way to retrive the lost information from the current MySQL database? Or secondly, is it possible and indeed a good idea to reimport the Access database into the active MySQL database in the hope that the missing data will be added? What are the risks of it causing further problems?
