Borg's been talking about dropping it, the journal, the domain thing, and the search for some time now. Looks like he finally did.

My questions about these dropped products would be:
  1. Who owns the source with a paid license? With the Free license?
  2. With a Free license, do we still have to display the "Powered By" links to WWG?

1. Web Wiz Guide owns the copyright on the software, code, images, icons, etc.
2. Yes you do have to display the links in the free version

As it's been dropped, you'll no longer be able to download it or get support for it, your only hope is that someone has an archived version somewhere but as it will no longer be getting updated with security fixes your proberly better off finding something else.

I'm thinking if you have a paid up version you should be allowed to upgrade to the last version no? I cannot find where i downloaded my last copy to but i've got a couple of licenses and would like to update one of the apps. Would that not be possible?

I noticed the Web Wiz Journal (WebBlog) on the registration payment page, but it looks like this product has been discontinued.  We already run the WW forums software on http://www.mysavings.com/ - http://www.mysavings.com  and love it, and we would like to add a daily blog to our web site.  Would you suggest the NewsPad for blog functionality?  How does it integrate with the WWF?

Thanks!

Web Wiz NewsPad is primarily a Newsletter/News Bulletin software and integrates with Web Wiz Forums to be able to sendout email Newsletters/News Bulletins to your forum members.

The web frontend for NewsPad is based very much on a number of blogging sites, and although not strickly speaking a blogging program can be used as such.

Instead of posting Newsletters/News Bulletins you could post blog type articles in the same way. It's up to you to decide if you want to email these to people or just make them available on the site and in RSS Feeds.

From the admin area you can change the title of the software from 'my Newsletter' to 'My Company Blog' to be displayed to your users.
