I uploaded the mysql 8.4 forum. How come that the functions by 'New Topic' is so basic (see: http://www.reiki-lotus.com/forum2/new_topic_form.asp?FID=40 - http://www.reiki-lotus.com/forum2/new_topic_form.asp?FID=40 )
While it should be like on this forum ??? |

It's no good posting a link up to a forum were we dont have permissions to! Either describe the problem in more detail or post up a screenshot. I also tried to join up to see the problem but on clicking the activation link i was faced with a error message in another language. ------------- Handyman man? |

What I see when I log in as a normal member I see this:  and when I log in as an administrator, I see this:
 How is that possible ?!

Ah i understand now. This is all down to permissions, As an administrator from default you have permissions to create all types of posts but as a normal user (as default) you don't. In the permission section of the admin menu you can set individual users or groups permissions. For example give a user or group the permission to post calendar events and it will appear when they go to post a new topic. The same goes for all functions that can be performed, chances are if they don't show up then that user doesn't have the permission to do said function. ------------- Handyman man? |

Strange....
I have 2 administrators on the forum with the same rights. But.. one write with the first edit (see above) and one with the second edit. How is that possible ??? |

You must set the permissions for the group (or per member).
