In version 8.04 I've run into a new problem.  I have been working on a modification and I'll wager there's a decent chance I narfed this myself.  I've restored all of my original install files and am still running into the problem.

When a member places an [ img] *URL* [ /img ] (without spaces) tag into their profile the image displays fine and the line saves perfectly.  The images in that profile will display correctly and there will not be a problem.

But, if the user then goes back in to edit their profile the closing image tag [ /img ] (without spaces) is replaced by a " />  (Quote Space Slash Greater-Than).  If the user does not notice that error and updates or saves their profile the image will occassionally be broken as the signature record will now consist of the HTML closing tag instead of the BBCode Image closing tag.

Has anyone else seen this problem?  I'm sure I can correct it in the forum code filters function file but wanted to see if any other folks ran into this.

Thanks!

Please do a search as this has been discussed many times.

Darn it!  I tried but IMG tags was too short of a variable.  Sorry for the report.

Maybe an faq section could help users find common problems instead of using the search on here. I know I have many times tried to search for something and don't come up with a hit... even when I know I'm searching for something I've seen on this forum before.

Maybe borg or someone else can put together a self populating faq section for known site issues/fixes.

The search needs at least 4 characters.
Found this when searching for /img
