I finally figured out all the bugs from updating from WWF (2001 edition) to the current. however, when I transfer threads across, they remain invisible. I have to make a new thread and move the post in that thread to every other thread in order for them to show.

That's fine when dealing with the current forum, but I have 5 archives with 7 million posts to go through.

Anyway I can do it in a faster way?

It could be to do with the tblTopic page.

In version 8 it stored the start post ID and the last post ID in the fields:-

Start_Thread_ID
Last_Thread_ID

If these two fields are not populated it does course the topic not to be shown correctly.

Oh by the way, the 7.x to 8.x upgrade tool has a section for populating these fields, you may want to have a look at adapting that to help you with this.

Thanks.
In the version I am currently running, those table columns are First_post_ID and Last_post_ID, I just renamed the columns when persorming the switch but they are all populated but I'll take a look at the 7x tool and see if I can modify it to my needs.

<<Timeloops Edit: Found, downloaded, modified, work perfectly! Many thanks!>>
