2- when i try the first login using administrator user and lesmein pass the following error occurs

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_Access_loginUser()_update_USR_Code
File Name:- functions_login.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft JET Database Engine
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

The error tells you why the problem is occuring. Your access database file is "read-only" and that is why it can't accept new data to be put on it.

Permissions will probably have to set by your host for the directory the mdb file is in. They need to be read/write/create

If you have access to your hosting control panel you should have a link for directories where you can change permissions.

When setting up the forum originaly, make sure you use seperate prefixes for the tablenames, this can be set in the "database/database_connection_inc.asp"
