I have noticed in version 7 final, that even when I move a topic to a new forum, if it gets a reply it's moved above existing topics in the original forum. This is a bit of an annoyance as I moved the topics because they didnt belong there, but they are always ending up at the top of the original forum because the thread is still active in the new forum. Anything that can be done to address this, or is it an annoyance I just have to live with?

It's just an annoyance you'll have to live with.

I've got a fairly simple solution for this problem.

In post_message.asp where the last post date is updated insert the following between line 770 and 771
 strSQL = strSQL & ", " & strDbTable & "Topic.Moved_ID = 0 "

This will remove a moved topic from its original forum when a new post is made.

I used this too, works great!  Question though for anyone that has used this:

after adding post to topic the OLD thread in the OLD forum actually deletes, not just fails to reflect the new post and bumps up to top of old forum.

Is this correct??
