I've done a search thru the forums but can't seem to find an answer to this.

What are the names of the cookies that are set by the forum and what are the keys that are contained within the cookies?

I am trying to create a web-based quiz/course that will be integrated with a Web Wiz discussion forum. I will be adding another table to the Web Wiz database that will contain responses to the quiz/course and I wanted to be sure that these responses post to the proper Author ID and Username. I will also be restricting access to the new quiz/course web pages based on the login to the forum and I was thinking that cookies would be the best way to handle this.

The reason that I am using the discussion forum to accomplish this is that our instructors will also be conducting group discussions with the students.

Thanks,
David F

The user ID of the user is not stored in a cookie, but a unique user Id that relates to the user is stored in a cookie called:-

Forum

under the key:-

UID

It's read in using:-

someVariable = Trim(Mid(Request.Cookies("Forum")("UID"), 1, 44))

Does UID contain the same data that is stored under the field name "User_code" in the tblAuthor table?

Which file creates this cookie?

Thanks,
David F
