Hi, I was hoping someone could help me with a little code. I am wanting to hide the new topic button if members do not have permissions for new posts. I have done a thorough search here and found little on this subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated. kind regards suede |

Just put them in a group that doesn't have permissions to create new topics. No coding needed, just forum configuration.

Hi Mr Mellie,
But the new topic button still shows! I don't wish to have the insufficient_permission.asp page to come up if users have no permissions to post. I would much rather the button be hidden. From searching, I understand that this was a feature of an earlier version of WWF. regards suede |

Aah, my apologies then, I assumed if the feature wasn't available it wouldn't show it, like it doesn't show the upload icons if you disable file uploads. Guess I shoulda checked first.
