Subject: Writing to database issue

I am new to using MS SQL I normally use mySQL.
I have setup a MS SQL database on my local computer. Using a DSN connection i have managed to connect to the database and run the setup file. All the tables and rows have been created.
However when i try and loggin i get the following error message:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.
Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_loginUser()_update_USR_Code
File Name:- functions_login.asp
Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Query cannot be updated because the FROM clause is not a single simple table name.

I am not sure whether this is a permissions issue. I just executed my own script on the db. That used CREATE TABLE, INSERT INTO, ALTER TABLE, and UPDATE sql queries.

Could be a corrupted file, try reuploading the files again first.
