I have com across a problem which you may or may not be aware. If you change your email address in your profile and happen to mistype it then you are effectively banished from the forum as you cannot verify the account from the "wrong" email address. Hence the fbridge2

That's always been the case.

Can't see any way around that, given the whole point of the verification email is to make sure people are registering with genuine email addresses!

On a smaller forum, you could ask the friendly admin to delete the incorrect account, I suppose.

Hey -boRg-, just a thought, how about a "batch delete unconfirmed members" option? Like the batch delete for people who haven't posted in however long, but to delete only those members who registered, for example, over a month ago, but have still not activated the account?

Shouldn't the email field require double entry just like password does ?
