Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there has successfully been able to pull a user's e-mail address from Active Directory to populate the WWF email field when using windows authentication?

Thanks for your help,
Jason

There are plenty examples out there using ADSI. You would just have to customize the query to fit your OU. If you are using SQL 2005 for the forum, you can also let it do the lifting by writing a simple .net CLR SP that will run on user creation and update the field.

Would you be able to point me to some of those ADSI examples?  I haven't been able to find any that were applicable.

Thanks,
Jason

Well maybe not THAT many articles :) There used to be much more content out there. You may want to consider, if below link does not help you, writing an external script in .net; which is much easier using AD than in classic asp.
What DB platform are you using?
The below link describes pretty much how to do it in pure vbs, you just have to tweak it for asp compability
