upgrading from 7 to 8 - what files?

The install instructions that come with the upgrade tool indicate to upload the new files after backing up the database and removing the old version 7.

I have modified a few files and images such as header.asp, etc. So my questions are -

1 - do I need to re-modify all that I have done?

2 - if not, which files are the ones that need to be uploaded?

3 - what files need to be removed from the server for 7 to be inactive?

It's an entire re-write from version 7 to 8 so yes to all the questions, when you download the database update tool there should also be full instructions for the upgrade.
